DOUT NOT


Luke 1:13, 18-20 “but the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
And Zacharias said unto the angel, whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season”

This was the message from the Lord to Zacharias but he responded to the message by looking at the circumstances that surround him.

He was analyzing the message of God with his barrenness, and giving some genuine reasons why the message may not be able to manifest.

In the real sense, looking at his childlessness challenge, humanly speaking, it was an unpleasant situation.

Like Zacharias, what are you going through right now?

How are you looking at your challenges?

Have you lost hope?

Have you given up on God?

Have you zeroed your mind?

Are you thinking of taking alternative route?

I know you have endured a lot

 I know you have tried

I know you have gone through a lot in life

I know your reasons are very genuine

I know how men has labeled you with names

I know how family members and friends talked you down

I know all your worries and fear

I know! I know! I know!

It looks like I am reading your mind,

But wait a minute!

Why do you think you are still alive today?

You are alive because God has not forgotten you.

He has something special for you.

 John the Baptist was just one shot but he is greater than 10 children.

Though it was delayed, but you are not denied because your greatness will transcend your generation.

Only belief in God and his words.

 No doubters can receive anything from God.

No man who doubts in his/her ability can achieve any tangible results.

Doubting is saying no to your results. Doubt weakens your strength and ability to try one more time. Doubt kills your morale.

The message sent to Zacharias was also sent to Virgin Mary in another dimension in Luke 1:38 “And Mary said behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her”

In your challenges or trials whose reports do you believe? Is it the reports of your challenges or the reports of the Lord or the reports of men?

The reports you believed determine whether you will come out of that challenges or not.

You will succeed
